Italiano cravings - Part II

Second round of italiano cravings since my first hunt at Pizza Milano...! This time, introducing another resto called Italiannies, bringing in our favourite American-Italian meals that ranges from pizza, pastas, oven-baked chickens, etc. This was the second time coming here, and this time at the Curve.

The first round was in OneU, which doesn't really visualize a classic Italian resto theme. In contrast, the second time dine-in here at the Curve, I would give a higher rating on the ambiance.
The settings were so much of a nice, quiet and romantic concept, if anyone has no idea where to go for Valentine's might as well come here =D a nice place for romantic dinner...~

I always like a typical Euro-style dining furniture lolx!! Square table with checkered red/blue covers haha!

Apparently, I have a keen interest at different portraits displays; and if you've notice, most of the pictures hang on the wall are similar!

Alright, before i turn this blog into a typical furniture topics, lets move to food sections. xD
They will always offer customers with complimentary breads, served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar... =))
Its very common here to eat bread dippin' with hot Indian chicken curry, lolx!! But dipping with olive oil and vinegar is somethin' different~ But it was good combination though, Italian way!  *thumbs up*

Perhaps if you want to dip your bread with something new, just get some of these bottles back home and start exercising new ways of eating XD

Here's our cafe latte for a start, is this Italian?? *grin*

What we have here is this, Pizza Caprese =D Stone-grilled pizza with vegetable toppings, a healthy start for an appetizer...Toppings include: baby tomatoes, basil, onions and fresh cheese...! Can I say that this is an organic solution for food? lolx!

For main course, we have here is the Balsa Glazed Chicken. Half-chicken, oven-baked  with different spices, served with garlic topped broccoli, roasted jacket-potato wedges and marinated onions =D. I gave a big 'A' for this course, I loved the oven-baked chicken, it was so crunchy that I can even eat some of the chicken bones, lolx!!

This is a two-course meal that serves your choice of appetizers and main course from the list in the menu, costing RM27.90.  (exclude our drinks and 15% gov and service tax LOL!)

For those who's not a big eater, you can share this one and it can still satisfy your appetite. I can say its not too expensive too if you measure the amount that way =D

My personal diet programme

Recently had my own diet programme, i do not know how long this will last...~
It will solely depend on my own willpower and motivation....I was motivated after so many comments from different people saying that im putting up weight..

People at my age will start to have either big tummy, round body, or fat cheek...!! This is horrible...and apparently I've come up with my own programme.
More exercise, less food hahaha! I've went for jogging for these few weeks :D

Here's how I've extracted some info from articles on what we can do to help...perhaps it can help you too =D
  1. Eat less. More often. Rather than eating large meals, chop up your eating into smaller portions throughout the day. I found myself eating 3 meals most days and having a snack around 3pm as well as another in the evening. That was enough to keep me from feeling hungry while still eating less in total.
  2. Don't eat right before going to bed. I've read this numerous times and don't get why it works, but it does. I set a limit of 3 hours. So I planned to go to bed at midnight, I wouldn't eat past 9pm.
  3. Brush your teeth early. For whatever reason, I won't eat when my teeth still feel clean. By brushing them several hours before bed, it was easier to accomplish #2.
  4. Kick the sugar habit. If you drink sugared soft drinks (I used to be a Mt. Dew and Coke fan), replace them either with their diet counterparts or water. This can make a very, very big difference.
  5. Eat vegetables before the main course. Whenever possible, I'd make sure to have an ample serving of a vegetable (you get very few calories for the amount you eat) before eating the denser main course--often a meat or fish. You'll need less of the dense stuff to be happy.
  6. Update your spreadsheet daily. Keeping a running count will help you ration out the rest of your daily calorie allowance, which we'll talk about tomorrow.
  7. Get used to leftovers. When you eat out, expect to take some of your meal home. If you eat standard restaurant portions, you'll almost certainly overeat.
  8. Shop with calories in mind. When you're at the grocery store, spends some extra time reading the labels and nutritional information. You'll probably end up changing your shopping habits along the way. You'd be surprised by the how widely the calorie counts in various granola bars varies, for example.
  9. Slow down! When you eat fast, you end up ingesting more food before you body has a chance to figure out that it's satisfied (not full).
  10. Drink more water during the day. This is fairly generic advice, but definitely seems to help.
  11. Trick yourself with gum. Sometimes we eat out of habit or because it just feels good to get some flavor in your mouth and chew for a while. Find yourself some sugar-free chewing gum and use it when the urge strikes.
  12. Reduce the amount of breads, chips, crackers, and salty snacks you eat. A lot of starchy and/or salty food make you want to eat and drink even more. This comes straight out of Atkins diet culture.

And perhaps that this as an advice on how we should have proper eating habits lolx!!
Nonetheless I have many doubts that it wont work, coz there's alot of people out there that loves eating just like me xD But no harm trying even if it might jz last for 1 month onli haha!

Itadakimasu - いただきます! Jappie foodie

This round jappie foodie hunt!

I don't really fancy Japanese food, but at least I gave a try-out with my colleagues at Zakuro Japanese resto near to Ampang Park lrt station. The more popular ones will be based in Mont Kiara in fact. It just happens that this franchise was so near to our office, we'll just try it out here =D

The funny talk about this resto is that, the display of the menu actually look LESS attractive than the food itself lolx!! In fact, it all comes in sets, and we couldn't really choose some selected dishes (or our so-called a-la carte choices).

They served first with this marinated mushrooms =D  Unfortunately, i didn know what are the ingredients that are marinated together with...it was nice, covers the original taste of the mushroom in fact.

Some display of different types of miso soups, that gives u a slurrrpyyyyy satisfaction =)

These are some of the slightly authentic japanese sushi you can find. The sashimi was much better than those in stores at least.

I ordered my Chicken Teppanyaki, it were cooked with the butter sauces which was nice in the first place. But unfortunately, i find it too salty due to the amount of butter in fact...kinda dissapointed with it.

The set comes with rice, cooked pumpkin, and fruits. I am surprised that I liked their rice actually lolx!

It was then comes with the dessert, our green tea ice cream topped with red bean paste, RM5. It was quite pricey for a small single scoop.

The set comes with a choice of course meal, serves together with rice, cooked pumpkin slice, fruits and miso soup. RM22.50++, worth the value if you wan to try out some authentic Japanese food. =D
